MULTI-SPORT ATHLETES

• Fewer kids these days play many sports.
• In Vinnie's day, the athletic kids played everything.
• You could get a ton of letters on your jacket.
  • Vinnie had 4 for football, basketball, track, and field -- 16 letters total.
  • They'd also get different champion and tournament patches, too.
  • This worked for Vinnie! He got a D1 football scholarship to Tulane.
• It's good for kids to play many sports.
  • It can often help the other sports, too.
• We should encourage this!
  • Let kids play a variety of sports and love the game.
  • Otherwise, you can really burn your kids out.
• Not every kid needs to get an athletic scholarship.
