  • Completely confusing article by folks who don't really understand ANY of the science behind nutrition
  • "Stay in your calorie target-- then eat whatever you'd like!"
    • Literally saying you can eat donuts and as long as you stay in your range its okay
  • They don't know the difference between calories and macros
  • The website said Anna should have 52% protein and 59% fat and -11g carbs 
    • WHAT???
    • Also how does this make sense with anything they just said about donuts?

  • When we eat sugar and grains, our bodies release different levels grelin and leptin and insulin 
  • Grelin - the hormone that causes you to want to eat
    • The levels of this actually INCREASE when you eat high carbs 
  • Leptin - the hormone that tells your body you are full

      • Keeps your hunger in check
    • Eating carbs messes with this
  • Insulin messes with the sugar levels in your blood and muscles, and we get all the insulin we need from veggies and such
